Singapore is now officially as the host of the Youth Olympics in 2010!!!. Its going to cost a whopping 82 million Singapore dollars (This is not even including the Youth Olympic Village which would be located at a new $460 million student residential complex at the National University of Singapore). Athens: The first ever Youth Olympics will be held in Singapore in 2010 after the city-state won 53 out of 97 postal votes, International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge announced on Thursday. Roads and new infrastructure has also got to be built I guess. And channel 5 keeps interrupting every now and then to play back the Singapore 2010 Olympic Youth games announcement. lol. Singapore now has the honor of being the first country in the whole wide world of being the first to host the Youth Olympics. Cheers! |
